NFL: The Super Seven

Now it’s time to go ahead and make my Super Seven list for Week 8. This list just keeps churning and churning.
At least the very top of the list will stay the same this week.
1. Tennessee Titans
This is the darling of the media right now. They have a very good defense and a good running game. They are the last undefeated team.
But they are beatable and something tells me they won’t stay at the top of this list for the entire season.
2. New York Giants
The Giants are still plodding around. They have the best record in the NFC. But now the real test starts for the G-Men. They play Pittsburgh this week and then the banged-up Cowboys the following week.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers may be the best team in football right now. But their one weakness is the offensive line. And that line will get tested this week against the Giants.
It will be a great test for both teams and should be a great game.
4. Buffalo Bills
At some point we have to admit that the Bills are for real.
I like this team a lot. And I think they are the favorite to win the AFC East.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Taking a page from the Titans, the Bucs have a strong defense and a good running game too. Plus they have Jeff Garcia playing steady behind center.
6. Washington Redskins
The Redskins have not played well these past few weeks. But they are still winning games.
Plus they are in the NFC East, which is still the best in the NFL. I don’t have a lot of faith in Jim Zorn, but Jason Campbell takes such good care of the ball, and Clinton Portis runs it so well, that this will be a team that can stay in and win any game.
7. Carolina Panthers
These last couple of positions are total toss-ups. The Panthers are playing very well. And they look like a team that needs to be reckoned with.
