MLB: Rays and Red Sox Looking Good

For all those people predicting an all Chicago World Series, things don’t look too promising.
The Cubs are down 2-0 going to Los Angeles and the White Sox are down 2-0 returning back to Chicago. But the Rays look really good and it will be a feat for the White Sox to simply avoid a sweep.
Despite their youth and inexperience, the Rays are really taking it to the more experienced White Sox. Perhaps Chicago can put things back together at home – in fact they have been a lot better at home – but I doubt it. Though I do give the White Sox more of a chance than I give their city collegues, the Cubs.
We will see on Saturday whether the Cubs can extend the series against the Dodgers.
Speaking of extending a series, the Angels are now down 0-2 going to Boston. To make things even worse, the Red Sox are going to send Josh Beckett to the mound. Quite simply, Beckett is dominant in the post season. So the Angles are in a lot of trouble.
How tough it must be for the Angles to have known so long that they’d be in the playoffs (they clinched first) and then fall flat when they enter the playoffs. Even their all-world closer, K-Rod failed in his attempt to keep the game tied.
So now what do the Angels do? Well, they have to take it a game at a time. But the Red Sox are too experienced and too good to let this series go back away from Fenway. They know they have the Angels on the ropes and they’ll close them out in Game Three.
So very soon we should have an all AL East ALCS set up. The Rays and the Red Sox battling it out to see who will go the World Series.
And which two teams from the National League will be battling it out in the NLCS? Well, it looks like that will be the Phillies and the Dodgers. They both hold 2-0 leads. And they should be able to close out their series this weekend as well.
