NFL: Week 5 Picks (Part One)
Posted on | October 3, 2008 | No Comments
Onto Week 5 we go.
Slowly we’re making our way into the middle of the season, and quickly seeing some surprise teams emerge as better than we thought and other teams that are much worse than we thought.
So let’s get to the first hapf of this week’s picks…
Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals
Wow, the Cards looked horrible last week. They fought back in the second half but that was pretty much due to the Jets defense giving up once they got a 30+ point lead.
The Bills will win this one.
My Pick: Buffalo
Kansas City Chiefs at Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are decent and the Chiefs are horrible.
The Panthers will win this one and pull away big late.
My Pick: Carolina
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
The Lions got a big win when they fired GM Matt Millen. The Bears got a big win by beating the Eagles last week.
The Bears will continue to roll.
My Pick: Chicago
Cincinnati Bengals at Dallas Cowboys
Are the Cowboys really 17 point favorites? Sure, they should win but will they win by 17? I don’t know. Seems a little high to me.
Still, Dallas wins it.
My Pick: Dallas
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Denver Broncos
This should be a great game.
The Bucs have thrown the ball all over the field and so have the Broncos. This is going to be a fun shootout to watch.
My Pick: Tampa Bay
Atlanta Falcons at Green Bay Packers
Will Rodgers play or not?
Whether he does or doesn’t, the Packers need to win this game. If not, fans may start to grumble for Brett Favre. After the media proclaimed Rodgers a great QB, he was less than average against the Cowboys and then horrible last week against the Bucs. He and the Packers need to turn things around.
I think the Packers barely get by the Falcons in this one.
My Pick: Green Bay
