NFL: What We Might Just Know…
Posted on | September 30, 2008 | No Comments
I’ve said it before and I know I’ll say it again, it’s still too early to know anything for sure about this NFL season. Yeah, we can put more stock in some things now, but we still can’t be too certain. So that begs the question: What exactly do we know right now?
The Buffalo Bills are the Best Team in the AFC
We don’t know this for sure. It might be true but probably not.
Are they better than the Tennessee Titans? I don’t think so. But I’m not even convinced these two teams are the best in the AFC. However, don’t ask me for the best team… at least not now.
The Dallas Cowboys are NOT the Best Team in the NFL
Well, they lost to the Washington Redskins at home. They can’t be the best team… can they?
Well, despite hungry Redskins fans acting like they just won the Superbowl, and despite many Cowboys fans acting like they just lost another playoff game, Dallas still may very well be the best team in the NFL.
Let’s not forget they just came off two huge games against Philadelphia and Green Bay. Sure, they needed to get up for one more big game and they didn’t. But it was just one game.
Washington played their best game of the season. Dallas played their worst game of the season. Washington only won by 2. What does that tell you?
Does it say Dallas is NOT the best team in the NFL. Well… I don’t think so.
Jim Zorn is a Great Coach
Not so fast. He’s has one horrible game (agains the Giants) and one great game (against the Cowboys). So he’s batting about .500.
The jury is still out on this one. Certainly he’s on a roll and he’s loved in Redskins nation right now.
But the jury is still out on this one.
So there are three things that we might just know… or maybe not.
We’ll get to three more things we might just know after Week 4 tomorrow.
