NFL: Crazy Week Four
Well, forget everything you thought you knew at the beginning of the season. Because it just might not be true.
Want some examples?
Did you think the NEw England Patriots were the best team in football? Not anymore.
Well, then it has to be the San Diego Chargers or the Indianapolis Colts, right? No.
Then the Dallas Cowboys are the best team in football, right? Well, not exactly.
The Washington Redskins went into Dallas and pretty much handled them. Sure they only won by two, and yes there were some horrible calls that went against the Cowboys, but a loss is a loss, and now the Cowboys are not only a sure thing to be the best team in football, but they might not even be the second best team in their own division.
Speaking of best teams, the Green Bay Packers look to be in trouble. After a great start, Aaron Rodgers has now played mediocre in the last two weeks and his Packers have lost two straight. And not come a potentially larger problem. Rodgers said after the game he thinks he separated his shoulder. Rodgers is injury prone (unlike another recent Green Bay QB) and there is no back-up in Green Bay.
So now the only undefeated team in the NFC is the New York Giants. They had a bye so they couldn’t lose. And they really haven’t played anyone yet. Though their Week One win against the Redskins now looks really good.
Over in the AFC the Tennessee Titans, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills are still perfect. But the Ravens have only played two games (they’ll play again tonight) so they can’t really be put into that group until they at least get to 3-0.
What all of this means is this is going to be a fun season to be a fan of the NFL. There is no team standing above the rest right now (with apologies to the Giants who just haven’t looked very good). The season is still early, but right now everything is wide open.
