NFL: Showdown at Lambeau

It’s only the third week of the NFL season so I don’t want to over hype a game (and I won’t) but this game has a alot of interesting storylines. And there are a lot of answers that might be had after this game.
First of all, Aaron Rodgers. Everyone knows all about the off-season fiasco with Brett Favre. Through it all Rodgers stayed quiet and went about his business. He said all the right things. Yet, many people doubted whether he would be able to do the right things on the field.
Well, these first two weeks he’s been nothing short of spectacular. However, he hasn’t really faced a good team yet. Now, he will face the Dallas Cowboys. And he will start his first big game of his NFL career.
How will he respond? How will he play? If he plays great, all the questions get put to bed and the Packers fans will embrace him. If he plays poorly, the little bit of doubt in many minds will grow a little bigger. And the jury will still be out on him.
Then you have the Cowboys who everyone has the most talent in the league. But most people think they will lose this game. Their opening schedule has been brutal – at Cleveland (though that doesn’t look like such a challenge anymore) and the Eagles. Now, if they can go and get their first win ever at Lambeau (they’re 0-5) then they would pretty much prove they are the team to beat.
Plus you have Al Harris, the Green Bay DB who got torched last year by Terrell Owens. The pick he got was literally handed to him as TO bobbled the ball and tipped it over to Harris in the end zone.
Now Harris said the defense has the perfect gameplan for the Cowboys offense. So will the Cowboys offense keep rolling or will the Packers get the best of Romo and company.
By the way, one more thing to watch is the start for both teams. The Packers have gotten off to hot starts and faded a little in the second half this year. Dallas was a great second half team last year and they came back from a halftime deficit to beat the Eagles last week. But the Cowboys have scored touchdowns on their first series in each game so far this season.
So there you go. Some thing to watch for in tonight’s big showdown at Lambeau Field.
