NFL: Week 3 Picks (Part 2)
Posted on | September 20, 2008 | 1 Comment
Yesterday I took a look at and picked the winners of about half the games for Week 3 in the NFL.
Now, I’m going to make my picks for the rest of the games.
Carolina Panthers at Minnesota Vikings
Carolina is 2-0 and the Vikings are 0-2. The Panthers get Steve Smith back at WR while the Vikings have benched Tavaris Jackson and will start veteran Gus Ferrotte.
For this game, the Vikings will look much improved and Chidress will look like a genuis for benching Jackson.
My Pick: Minnesota
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
The Pats will win and once again Cassell will be able to take things nice and easy.
My Pick: New England
Cincinati Bengals at New York Giants
The champs are the champs until someone beats them. They’ve look unimpressive in the first two weeks. Yet everyone has jumped right back on their bandwagon.
They still haven’t played anyone and they won’t this week either. But they won’t cover this week…
My Pick: New York Giants
Pittsburgh Steelers at Philadelphia Eagles
This should be a greta game. Except I think the Eagles will move the ball against the Steelers and the Steelers won’t be able to keep up.
After this game, people will realize that the balance of power has shifted back to the NFC.
My Pick: Philadelphia
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers
Who cares?
My Pick: Detroit
St Louis Rams at Seattle Seahawks
The Rams are like the circus. When they come to torn everyone is happy.
My Pick: Seattle
Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans
I’m telling you, Tennessee is much better with Collins behind center.
My Pick: Tennessee
Arizona Cardinals at Washington Redskins
This is a really interesting match-up. Arizona is 2-0 and looking good. The Redskins came back to win last week but looked horrible against the Giants.
We’ll know more about each of these teams after tomorrow.
My Pick: Washington
Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers
This is the game of the week and maybe the game of the month.
So many storylines it’s impossible to cover them all. But I’ll focus in on this game tommorrow since this game will be at night.
For now I’ll just give…
My Pick: Dallas
New York Jets at San Diego Chargers
Well, Brett Favre should be able to throw the ball against the Chargers, the Broncos sure did.
But the Jets may not be able to stop the Chargers.
This will be another great game to watch.
But I think the Chargers get it together and win by at least 2 touchdowns.
My Pick: San Diego
