MLB: Brewers Sliding, Astros Dealt Unfair Blow

Excuse me, but I have a couple points that need to be addressed and one of them gets me a little hot. I mean angry. Well, I mean ticked off anyway.
Let’s take first things first though.
The Milwaukee Brewers has the Wild Card wrapped up in the National League. There were running away with it actually. So much so that most baseball “experts” (I’m not an expert but I gave it to them too) gave them the playoff spot already.
But they’ve absolutely collapsed and now they have been tied by the Philadelphia Phillies. And they’ve responded by firing their manager. They let Ned Yost go today. I can’t say I blame them. The Brewers also collapsed last season. And making things worse, he always showed his emotions on his sleeve. So with the recent slide of the Brewers, Yost has been looking distraught during games. That just can’t be tolerated.
And not only has the Phillies tied the Brewers but the Astros are now just two and half games back. But they could be just a game and a half.
The Astros were absolutely shafted when their game was moved near Chicago (actually Milwaukee) because of hurricane Ike. Not only did the Astros have to worry about their homes but they also had to deal with a pro-Cubs crowd. it’s not surprising that the Cubs’ Carlos Zambrano threw a no-hitter. Nobody on the Astros wanted to be playing that game. What a joke!
Selig should be ashamed of himself. This is just horrible. You can’t tell me they couldn’t find somewhere (away from Chicago) to play this game. The Astros have been charging hard and now they’ve been stopped cold.
Thank you MLB! Thank you Bud Selig! What a joke!
Meanwhile Tampa Bay and Boston kick off a huge series today. The Rays are clinging to a one game lead. This will be a lot of fun.
