NFL: Games to Watch
Posted on | September 14, 2008 | No Comments
The biggest game to watch this weekend will actually played on Monday. That is the Philadelphia Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys. But we’ll touch on that game tomorrow. The Sunday night game – the Browns and Steelers – will be a lot of fun to watch too.
As for Sunday’s day games, let’s break down the best games to watch by time.
1 p.m. Games
The best game for this time slot just might be the Buffalo Bills at the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Bills looked really good last week. The Jags lost to the Titans. So the Jags don’t want to drop to 0-2. But the Bills have a chance to go 2-0 and follow-up last week’s impressive performance with another great game. if they do, then the Bills just might be for real.
Another good early game will be the Indianapolis Colts at the Minnesota Vikings. The Colts looked out of synch last week. They looked about as bad as they’ve looked in the last five years. Meanwhile, the Vikings – a team that’s supposed the challenge for the Super Bowl – lost to the Green Bay Packers. So both of these teams need a win. But only one will get it.
The final game to watch at 1 pm is the Tennessee Titans visiting the Cincinnati Bengals. The Titans have Kerry Collins at quarterback. It will be a lot of fun to see how the Bengals play and how the Titans’ offense fares without Vince Young.
4 pm Games
There are two games to watch at four o’clock. The biggest one is the New England Patriots at the New York Jets. The Jets can move to 2-0 with a win. The Pats have to play without Tom Brady. The winner of this game will automatically move into being the favorite of the AFC East. But, of course, the Bills are going to have a lot to say about that.
The other big game is the San Diego Chargers at the Denver Broncos. The Broncos looked good last week, while the Chargers didn’t. Can the Broncos move two games up on the Chargers just two weeks in to the season? It will be a lot of fun to watch and see.
There you have it. Have fun watching and rooting!
