Ben Roethlisberger Crashes

It was bound to happen. Motorcycle riding is extremely dangerous. In fact, many stars have it in their contract that riding motorcycles is not permitted. This morning Big Ben was involved in a traffic accident of horrific proportions. He slammed into another vehicle, was thrown over his handlebars, rocketed into the windshield of the other vehicle and cam crashing to the ground. So far the miracle is that Ben Roethlisberger is not dead.
You see, Ben Roethlisberger was not wearing a helmet—a stupid move. In earlier interviews with the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, he talked about not wanting to wear a helmet because he felt freer when riding. In Pennsylvania, wearing a helmet is not mandatory—it’s just smart. Big Ben was lifted from his pool of blood and rushed off to the hospital were he remained in serious, but stable condition. According to the latest reports he lost all of his teeth, broke his jaw, broke his nose, had a laceration and damaged his knees.
Earlier he went into surgery and was said to be coherent. He was riding a 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa, which has been called the fastest legal street bike, when he crashed into the Chrysler New Yorker that was being driven by a 62 year old woman. At this time no charges have been filed, so it’s hard to saw where the fault lies. The latest news is they expect him to come through, but the damage is there. Once the Steelers are done worrying about Big Ben, they need to start worrying about who will be their quarterback this coming year. It’s quite possible that they will need someone to at least start the season.
