Dallas Wins Game Two

For the Dallas Mavericks, it was business as usual for game two of the NBA Finals. They destroyed the hapless Miami Heat 99-85. Once again the Miami Heat had a complete meltdown. Shaq, you know that big guy that is supposed to be superior to most players, had a measly 5 points. He took only 5 shots all game. It seems like the Heat are trying to win without using Shaq.
The defense of the Mavs has done a great job shutting down Shaq and forcing other players to step up. Unfortunately for the Heat, this just has not happened. Dwyane Wade is playing ok, but not that great. The Mavs are now up 2-0 in the series and really in a commanding position. They have won on the road and are not intimidated by going to Miami. They have retained their home court advantage and now set off on the task of taking at least one in Miami.
Game three and four of the series is on Tuesday and Wednesday in Miami. For game three, the Miami Heat are a early 4 point favorite. While they have done nothing to earn this spot, it’s expected that they will get a boost by being at home. In the Pistons series, they played much better at home. The pressure is cranked up and the dial ripped off for the Miami Heat. They absolutely must win game 3 or this series is over. The main question for the Mavs is how they will play. Will the Mavs lay up for a game or will they smell blood and go for the kill? We will see tomorrow. My money is on the Mavs going in for the kill.
